First ever Factory nurtured by Sri Lanka Inventors commission owns by Inventor Rishan Dulanjana was declared open with the participation of Prof. Rangika Halwatura, Commissioner on 4th February 2021 at Ihalakeembiya village, Galle. Prof. Nalin Abesekara, University of Sri Jayawardanapura, Team SLIC, Team ITN and proud villagers also took a part in the event.
“Kosposha” an agriculture based patented food, produced with Jack Seed was invented by young inventor Mr Rishan Dulanjana a product of University of Sri jayawardanapura. Sri Lanka inventors Commission trust that this market window he explored, is showcasing the fashion of creativity and thinking practice of an inventor aiming to bring the taste of Kosposha across globally.
This is not just a start up but contributing significantly to shape the lives of the villagers of Ihalakeembiya and surrounding converting them as stakeholders of the value chain of Kosposha. Sri Lanka Inventors Commission invested to this bizvention through Invent Grant Programme.

The IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter at the University of Moratuwa is delighted to announce ISC 2021, the very first IEEE official International student conference in Sri Lanka, scheduled for the 6-7 February 2021. There will be keynote speeches, plenary talks and panel discussions as well as the publication of original researches. Sri Lanka Inventors Commission (SLIC) initiated the project “NIPAYUMAANI” with the collaboration of “Sasnaka Sansada” which is a volunteer student university group in terms of celebrating the World Science Day on 10th November during the science week this year.
“NIPAYUMAANI” a national innovation and invention promotion programme for creating Young Inventors Clubs in schools, tertiary education institutes and universities to promote innovation and share knowledge among student members of the clubs.
Idea incubator operating at the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission plays a vital role of converting innovative ideas of student inventors into marketable prototypes and an online knowledge sharing platform launched today on SLIC YouTube channel to act as a knowledge sharing platform for sharing knowledge about inventions, innovations and new technologies.
