SLIC was able to declare National Inventors Day for Sri Lankan Inventors with the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers which falls on 26 th of October; the Birth Day of Dr. A. N. S. Kulasinghe, a Great Sri Lankan Engineer, Inventor as well as the first Commissioner of Sri Lanka Inventors Commission.
