Sri Lanka Inventors Commission has established Invent Grant Scheme in order to provide technical assistance, marketing assistance and financial assistance for Sri Lankan inventors.
Prerequisites to be eligible for INVENT Grant Scheme are as follows
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Must have obtained or applied a secure intellectual property right for the invention.
- Must have a working prototype / model of the invention.
- The invention should have a very high economic potential or can be practically implemented for the benefit of the society.
- Should have already started commercial production of the prototype or should have already got business leads with a firm commitment to fulfill.
